Received a grant from the Swedish Research Council for the establishment of a Nordic Network for AI in Education

I am happy to announce we, Professor Linda Mannila (University of Helsinki), me, Professor Peter Parnes (LTU) and Charlotta Hilli (Åbo Akademi) received a grant from the Swedish Research Council (VR) for establishing a Nordic Network for AI in Educacation (NordicEdAI – ett nordiskt tvärvetenskapligt nätverk kring AI inom utbildningen)

Co-chair of the Learning Analytics in Digital Learning Environments track at The 5th International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education

I am glad to co-chair a track on learning analytics in digital environments together with Mohammad Khalil, University of Bergen (Norway) and Jacqueline Wong, Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) at the 5th International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education that will take place in China in autumn. Its a great opportunity to explore how Chinese academics have developed research within the field of learning analytics!

Studier kring omställning till distansundervisning under covid-19

Två studier utförda de senaste två veckorna kring påtvingad omställning till distansundervisning på grund av covid-19. Den första studien fokuserade på hur lärare i grundskola och gymnasium implementerat eller planerat implementering av distansundervisning i samband med covid-19. I den andra studien undersökte vi hur studenter på universitet upplever omställningen till distansundervisning. Rapport publiceras inom kort.
